The Sanger FFA was the 9th chapter chartered by the Texas FFA Association. Since 1930, the Sanger FFA has upheld a proud tradition of developing FFA members for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success! If you become a part of the Sanger FFA, a wide array of activities, competitions, scholarship and leadership opportunities await!

In the fall, Leadership Development Events - or LDEs - take place. Sanger FFA members in the past have competed in and advanced to Area and State levels in contests such as Creed Speaking, Skills Demonstration, Greenhand and Senior FFA Quiz, Chapter Conducting, Agricultural Issues Forum, FFA Radio, and Public Relations.

Throughout the year, Sanger FFA members compete heavily in livestock shows - exhibiting steer, heifer, market swine, sheep and goat projects at the majority of the major livestock shows in Texas. In the fall, you will see Sanger FFA at the North Texas State Fair in Denton and the State Fair of Texas in Dallas. In the spring, we will be at the Fort Worth Stock Show, the San Antonio Stock Show, and the Houston Stock Show. Sanger FFA has also had several of its members compete and win money in the Junior Commercial Steer Show at San Antonio and Houston.

In the spring, Career Development Events - also known as CDEs and judging contests - abound. Sanger FFA has had many years of highly competitive horse judging teams. In 2000, Sanger FFA took 1st place at the State Horse Evaluation CDE at Texas Tech University. In addition, Sanger FFA has also proved tough competition in Dairy Cattle Judging, Livestock Judging, and Meats Judging, as well as others.

Sanger FFA has won numerous chapter awards at the Area, State and National levels as well as provided college scholarships for many of its members. In addition, its members have garnered State and National recognition in individual awards.
